Robert Ladislas Derr will exhibit The World Isn't Always Round, a three-channel video and photograph installation at the Hammes Gallery, Saint Mary's College, January 22 through February 12, 2010 (opening, Jan. 22, 5 to 7 pm). Known for his investigations of the ontological peripheries of moving and still images, Derr constructs a phenomenological environment for the viewers' engagement. The World Isn't Always Round explores the concept of the artist as influential in shaping culture and pushing society forward.
